What does it mean to be an NBRA repair garage?

We are proud to be a member of the NBRA (National Body Repair Association), but we are often asked by our customers what that means and how it benefits you as a customer. Today we’re going to share with you a little information regarding the NBRA, to help you understand the benefits of choosing an NBRA body repair garage like ours for your future needs.

Why choose an NBRA member?

When you choose to work with an NBRA member, you are guaranteed that we will comply with the strictest codes of conduct. We will treat both you and your vehicle at all times with respect, and work to the highest standards. Our repair centre is backed by both the CTSI (Chartered Trading Standards Institute) and the NBRA.

The NBRA’s Code of Practice is approved by the CTSI and is applied in all bodyshops like ours that display the logo. This Code of Practice was designed to give you, as one of our customers, protection should our service not fulfil your expectations, or should we be unable to resolve any satisfaction issues.

If you did experience an issue with our service, which we sincerely hope will never happen, the National Conciliation Service is the NBRA’s alternative dispute resolution service, who are also accredited by the CTSI. They act impartially between customers and the business they are having a conflict with, and assess your situation.

Code of Practice

As mentioned above, we work by the guidelines laid out in the NBRA’s Code of Practice. Highlights of these guidelines that benefit you as a customer include the guarantee of a written estimate or quotation for any work to be carried out. These quotations will include the cost of labour, materials, parts and VAT. We make our prices very clear to customers before any work in undertaken, to ensure that you are happy with the price and work to be completed. For any work where an investigation is required beforehand, a financial limit will be agreed if there is not time to create an estimate first.

You will always be made aware of the methods and terms of payment we accept before we start any work on your vehicle. Any pre-payment is safeguarded and will be returned in the event of the service you have paid for not being completed. When the work required has been agreed upon, we will provide a time and date of the expected completion. If for some reason there is any delay, we will advise you straight away of the issue and the updated timeframe for completion.

As you can see, there are many benefits to our customers thanks to our NBRA accreditation. If you want to verify for yourself a member of the NBRA, you can check our accreditation using this link. Here at APS Accident Repair Centre, we are proud to be a member of this association, and hope you will benefit from the guarantees and reassurances that our being a member provides to you when booking your next service with us.
